Currently, we are seeking a Journeyman with Electrical & Instrumentation capabilities for our Chester, PA location.
Summary:
Actively participate in a High Performance Work Team environment, self-managing and sharing knowledge and skills with all other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all site and asset safety practices and procedures and must value working safely.
- Actively participates in failure analysis and equipment / systems troubleshooting.
- Supports the planning and execution of daily/weekly/and shutdown activities.
- Identifies patterns of failures and ways to design out failures.
- Participates in cost effective decision making, for example: labor, parts, and materials.
- Is a team player who continually demonstrates adult behavior and actively participates with team, family and others to provide the highest level of service and equipment to the site.
- Proactively participates in the design, implementation and upgrade of all reliability programs. Additionally spreads the learnings across the site.
- Provide training to the operating personnel in routine maintenance.
- Identify and maintain critical spare inventory levels, working with area’s planner & stores.
- Participates in shutdown planning and two-week planning processes, including work and parts preparation.
- Utilizes K-C’s Total Asset Life Cycle Management (TALCM) best practices to guide work methods.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must be a high school graduate with trade school education or equivalent
- Candidate must have completed a qualified instrumentation &/or electrical trade apprenticeship training program or equivalent and have thirty months related industrial experience.
- Candidate must meet and maintain medical qualifications required by the job.
- Candidate must be able to work on elevated work platforms, catwalks, scaffolding, etc.
- Candidate must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to work closely with other team members
Candidate must be able to do the following:
- Participate in the E&I cross training program
- Remove, repair, and install: instruments, DCS components, and related equipment
- Setting up and operating test equipment associated with the maintenance of or the diagnosis and repair of industrial process control systems.
- Reading and using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&ID’s loop sheets, logic diagrams (ISA), blue prints, and drawings as required to install and troubleshoot instrument and electrical systems.
- Plan and lead operating area instrumentation and high technology work to assure and improve asset reliability
- Candidate must be proficient in using the SAP computer system and have the capability to learn window-based computer systems and new systems such as DTR.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the following:
Computer Troubleshooting, Digital Electronics, Distributed Control Systems, Electronic Testing, Process Controls (PID Loops), Process Measurement & Control, Programmable Logic Controllers and P&ID Reading, Electrical Preventive Maintenance, Uninterruptible Power Supply, Electrical Inspection and Motor Lubrication, Motor and Motor Controls, Oil Analysis, Variable Speed Drives, including AC & DC
